Lydia earned a M.S. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from CSU Sacramento and for her thesis developed testing procedures for biodiesel fuel produced from food waste. She also earned a B.S. in Business Admin. and Applied Math from Bemidji State University, MN. Lydia has over 10 years of professional leadership experience.
(PhD student; Entomology) researches insect bioconversion of industrial food wastes, insect breeding, and secondary product development. Former lab manager at Carroll-Loye Biological Research (6 years); providing services of insect repellent testing, product development, and EPA claims filing for clients such as Bayer, Merck, and Unilever.

(MS/ PhD student; Biosystems Engineering) researches production optimization and water quality management in controlled environment agriculture and aquaculture. She earned a B.Sc. in Agricultural Engineering from University of Illinois. She previously worked at Sea6 Energy Ltd., where she was part of intensive seaweed production team and R&D team researching anti-viral and immunostimulants properties of seaweed for shrimp cultivation.
